How it works

A dosage calculator that logs the glucose you meant to reach.

Diabetes is different for everyone, and it changes for you as life circumstances change, or as you age. A simple log records what you did. This one records the target you intended, and that is how you judge a change to your bolus and carb ratios.

  1. Enter your glucose

Type your reading, or tap − and + to nudge it. The left buttons move by whole numbers and the right buttons by small steps.

  2. Add your carbs

Enter the carbs you are about to eat. Have fibre to count? Add it underneath and it is taken off for you.

  3. Read your dose

Insulin Dosage shows the bolus that brings you closest to your target, rounded to your pen or pump. Calculated target is the glucose that dose is meant to reach.

Where you meant to land

Save to log stores that target with the time, the reading, the carbs and the dose. On a past entry you can change the number if you meant a different one.

With no carbs and no bolus, the card says Maintaining target. Your reading sits beside the last intention, and the check-in does not set a new one.

Keep arriving above that target, and 10 g of carbs may be raising you more than your ratio says, or 1 unit of insulin lowering you less. Keep arriving below it, and the opposite is true. Change those amounts in Set your routine. The next dose uses the new ratios.

The maths, at a glance

10 g of carbs raises glucose

1 unit of insulin lowers glucose

You choose both amounts in Set your routine, along with your target and range.
